May-June 2022 Update

The past few months have just BUZZED through. Time is quick if you blink!

May 15th I went out and shot the eclipse - a long 6 hour project that concluded with some INCREDIBLE images! I can’t wait to share a full collection soon, and will be doing another blog post later this week with a large gallery of images. For now: Here is one that makes an INCREDIBLE Iphone Lock Screen Wallpaper thanks to the way the phone lights up when the screen is activated! Feel Free to save this image and use it! Wrapping up some planning for June: There are a few things on the schedule: Read on to learn more!

-Holiday World June 2-4. I will be shooting photo’s and videos, creating some new theme park content. We get the chance to stay at their lovely Lake Rudolph Resort campground just behind the park, and should be able to capture some wonderful content. Below is a photo from last year, on the back side of Raven - hidden away from guests view as it traverses deep through the woods!

The much more exciting and much larger event though: NFT NYC. If you read our last blog you know we had an Art Gallery during ETHDenver this year! It went really well, selling 6 of the 8 pieces on display during the showing across 3 days! This year NFT NYC is happening from June 20-24th, and there will be a few landscape images on display during it - including some new - never before seen - content. They will of course also be available on https://opensea.io/collection/jslprint at the same time, so make sure to set your alarm for June 20th so that if there is a piece you want you are able to grab it! Galleries and art showings started back in 2014, and I am so excited in the way the formats we used to print have changed into the much more unique offerings we have today with Canvas, Glass and Metal prints - when we started it was all traditional paper print, or canvas. The Glass and Metal really add unique shine and appeal to the prints, and canvas works really well for traditional 35MM Film photos! We will have a variety on display in NYC just as we did at ETHDenver! Stay tuned for more details of the gallery location in the coming weeks on twitter: @JustShootLight

Thank you for sticking around! Hitting the road next week to be to Holiday World followed by NFT NYC, and I am so excited to get traveling again! Make sure you check back next week for a full gallery of eclipse images as well as updated info on the gallery in NYC!

You can purchase prints here: https://www.justshootlightmp.com/print

You can purchase NFT’s at the following places: https://opensea.io/collection/jslprint - each NFT includes a print from the Opens Collection.
Also available on SOLANA at: https://exchange.art/series/The%20Lost%20Landscapes%20Collection/nfts These do not include prints, as most of these are from when I first started photography, and the original, printable file is lost to history, they make amazing wallpapers though!

Thank you SO MUCH to all those whom have blindly jumped in without ANY indication of where this project is going! ETHDenver has wrapped up, the project has officially launched, and I am beyond excited to share with you the FULL plans in place.

Just Shoot Light Multimedia Productions is a company that works across the world providing cinematic video, photography, and drone work. In my travels as the owner I have had plenty of opportunity to explore the beauty of this world and capture amazing landscapes. I have been selling photography photos in physical form since 2012. This is the obvious future step to that: Each physical print is now backed by an NFT. We NEVER print the same image twice, even across different formats - Metal, Canvas, and Glass - so your print is the only high quality art version of that photo!

“BUT I DONT WANT A PHYSICAL PRINT!” That is TOTALLY OK! We offer storage of your physical print - when your print is being stored we send you a Polygon network NFT that is near identical to your original - with the words “PRINT IN STORAGE” across the photo - when you are ready to claim that print send the token back, and reach out via a social media platform of your choice with shipping info. Want to resell your piece? Contact us, and we will hang your physical print in our next live gallery!

WHERE WE ARE TODAY:

-EthDenver was the launch of this project, and was a HUGE success! Thanks to the kindness of the ETHDenver team we were able to hang 8 pieces (4 glass tile prints, 3 metal prints, 1 canvas.) During the course of ETHDenver we sold 6 of the 8 pieces! Some decided to take their physical print, others moved their physical print to storage and received their storage token! The stored prints are now safe in our storage unit.

-During ETHDenver the pieces available were listed at or below COST OF PRINT at time of minting - we took a slight loss across each sale in an effort to kickstart the program. The floor started around .03 ETH. Now that ETHDenver has ended, the last pieces that were on show have been increased in price to a more reasonable start point. Each price is based on the type of material printed and the image of the print.

LOOKING FORWARD:

-If you own one of our NFT’s there is value to be had! At all future gallery showings + online we will be offering PAPER COPIES of your image - these are obviously not the same as the metal, glass, or canvas of your piece, which carries a much higher value. We will sell these paper version prints printed on high quality photo paper and matted - and you the NFT holder of the original print will receive a portion of each sale (10%!) We will handle ALL paper print sales, track the records, and release a payment schedule that makes sense as we launch this portion of the program.

-Future Gallery Showings: The goal is to host at minimum ONE (1) Live Gallery Showing every 3 months, with the possibility of more based on bookings. These Gallery Showings will happen in different states across the United States for now, and eventually spread into neighboring countries as availability opens up!

-Prints in storage have the opportunity to be displayed at all future galleries and listed for resale - visit www.JustShootLightMP.com/nft or follow twitter @JustShootLight to stay up to date and book a future show.

-Within a few years the long term plan is to move from a storage unit into a physical gallery: Any print in storage will instead be shown in the gallery, any physical print that is in possession of it’s owner will be shown digitally in the gallery. New prints will be displayed here before for sale before moving into the next live special event gallery! Paper prints will be available consistently, giving owners of NFT/Print’s a chance to consistently receive income from their NFT piece through the sale of paper copies.

-OFFERING A SERVICE: We will be looking into facilitating this same service to other photographers and creatives who may want to break into the NFT world without learning how to mint NFT pieces, or handle physical prints. This has been a fantastic proof of concept piece, and I am excited to grow it with you!

THANK YOU SO MUCH to everyone whom has purchased a piece or taken a moment to look! I would not be here today without your support and love! The next batch of prints will be dropping soon, and I am excited to share them with you!

NFT Authentication of Print Sales!

Hello, and welcome to 2022! Crazy times we are living in!! Have you seen the movie Ready Player One? Does it feel like it’s becoming a reality? I Agree. Anyways: Onto what we are here for!

Have you heard of NFT’s? No? Well here’s a quick run down: NFT = Non-Fungible Token.

It’s a token on the blockchain, which is a type of crypto. It’s not a currency, it’s something you buy with a currency (Bitcoin, Etherum, Polygon, etc.) They can be used for many many things, but today we are here to discuss one specific use: Authentication of prints.

From now on when you purchase a print from Just Shoot Light Multimedia Productions in the following forms:

-Metal

-Canvas

-Framed Traditional print

-certain unique items

They will come with an NFT. That NFT will be proof of purchase of an authenticated product from us. If you ever decide to resell the photo you will be able to do so through the block chain (You will also be able to purchase prints using crypto starting today!)

On the back of your newly purchased print will be a QR code, that QR code will link directly to your NFT. The NFT will be of the photo you purchased, and explain in detail exactly what was printed, the type of print, the size, and the initial cost. These NFT’s can be displayed in your NFT wallet, in the Metaverse, and digitally on a digital frame. This allows you to take your purchased print with you everywhere you go, all while having the physical print at home hanging on your wall!

We are excited about this technology. Want to see the first couple of NFT authentication tokens? Check them out below:

If you have questions about NFT’s, or want to have a print you purchased in the past authenticated - feel free to reach out! I will gladly authenticate any prints purchased in the past!

IAAPA wrapped, Give Kids The World video, into the new year!

IAAPA has come and gone, and we headed into the holidays strong. During IAAPA we got the chance to network with a lot of future potential clients, and I am excited to see what 2022 has in store for us!

There was a lot to see and do at IAAPA, and the event was packed with exciting announcements for new rides, and entertainment coming to the theme park industry. Some of the things I am most excited for include the new coaster coming to Fun Spot Atlanta, the new coaster headed to a small park in Texas called Coda Fun Land, and some exciting food presentations I saw for in park food services that I am hoping to see pop up in parks over the next few years!

WHEN IAAPA ENDED: I spent some more time in Orlando. I partnered with UpStop Media’s owner: Scott Schaffer for a project at Give Kids The World Village. We created a wonderful FPV One-Take and a full commercial for them. Give Kids The World is a FANTASTIC charity that does so much good in giving families a chance to relax when dealing with the stresses of sick or terminally ill children, and we enjoyed having the opportunity to get out and support them. Attached to the bottom of this blog is the FPV one Shot, If you have not seen it yet I encourage you to check it out and share it with friends and family.

I spent the New Years in New Orleans watching the Fleur De-Lis drop and the fireworks on the Mississippi River, and am currently exploring a few gallery options in New Orleans to display some landscape images to bring in the start of the 2022 season. I am also getting ready to head back to Denver for a short period of time where I will be attending ETHDenver. I am currently exploring a concept of validating legitimate prints from Just Shoot Light Multimedia Productions through the blockchain using NFT’s, more to come on that in the next blog later this week - but here is a little preview of what that looks like:

You buy a print, landscape, roller coaster, whatever image it may be in whatever format it is. You will also receive an NFT verifying it as a legitimate print from us and authenticating its validity. That NFT can be displayed virtually, while the print can be hung physically at your house - giving you not just a physical print, but also a digital representation you can carry around in your pocket! Here is one example:

https://opensea.io/assets/matic/0x8a13628dd5d600ca1e8bf9dbc685b735f615cb90/12067

Calendar days are filling up quickly as we are now accepting 2022 media requests for your photo, video, and drone needs! Reach out to schedule and get a quote for your needs today! Check in later this week for a new blog post, enjoy the video below, and HAPPY NEW YEAR! Lets make 2022 special!

Just Shoot Light MP Update:

It’s been a minute: Let’s catch up?

2021 is FLYING by, and I have not been updating my site much. Today I went through and improved a lot of categories on the site. There are new videos on our main page, new photos in products, and theme parks, and a commitment to add more often to the blog here.

For those who don’t know, I freelance write as well for BehindTheThrills.com and Attractionsmagazine.com

Read those articles:

Recently we took on a new client - Depth Perception Baltimore - managing their Instagram social media account. Since we have taken over they have seen an over 100% growth in their audience reach and an over 300% content interaction increase -as you will see below - if you need help growing a social media presence reach out! We would love to help.

I also went to Halloween Horror Nights Hollywood. You can see ALL the houses from that event here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=39yDqjqCMQg&list=PLWLK8tZC5xdHW8ozXX4Xqlh6kxxTQIh1w

This week We are preparing for IAAPA - for those who don't know, that is the Theme Park Convention that happens in Orlando Florida every year, except last year of course. It is good to be back in Orlando. We will be spending the entire week at IAAPA booking jobs for next season. Gotta get a new stack of business cards printed since I am almost out, and typing up a “information” pamphlet to distribute about our company. Here’s to a busy 2022 hopefully! In 2022 we are also planning to get back to Music Festivals. 2020 was rough with not shooting a single festival. We did film a few music videos, and smaller shows, but nothing major. It felt weird - like something was missing.

I got the chance to ride the new Velocicoaster at Universal Studios Islands of Adventure; it was INCREDIBLE. Great ride with a lot of speed and intensity packed in. I also got to take my nephew to the park, and he rode it - along with basically every other ride in the park. He’s getting so big so fast, already 9 years old.

After IAAPA I have a little time off. Considering a trip over to New Orleans - you know how much I love that city. In the mean time we are working on our online store to hopefully be able to provide a comprehensive store with our landscapes, and coaster photos all available online - I understand how much easier that will make ordering prints, shirts, masks, etc from us. In the mean time if you want to buy a print, message me! They make wonderful gifts. Check out this Metal print of Powder Keg! We recently started printing on a new type of paper that has an amazing effect under dimming lights - I will have a video to show you soon demonstrating!

Michelob is hiring

Michelob is hiring for what appears to be my dream job. In a lot of ways it is kind of what I am already doing - traveling and providing content for different people or companies. It is also a lot more stable. For the time being in order to facilitate a clean looking portfolio my home page will be set to a compilation of landscapes and advertisement photos I took specifically to try to get this job opportunity.

Theme Parks and Road Trips and Adventures OH MY!

The past few months have been interesting. I went from having no work - to having a decent bit but not a LOT of work - back to now having no work again. I was freelancing for attractionsmagazine.com but that is wrapping up as all the parks have been covered. The pay was something - better than the sitting around waiting for the world to return to normal, but - nothing spectacular - as it usually goes in the freelance world. If you want to read about my most exciting piece of work with them - go here - https://attractionsmagazine.com/my-test-ride-on-axis-the-next-evolution-of-roller-coaster/

The New Beginning

It’s 2020. I have been taking photo’s since 2013, in all kinds of fields. From PGA golf tournaments to Theme Parks. From Products to Concerts. From festivals to lifestyle. I have had the chance to take so many photos, capture and freeze so many moments in time, and give so many people memories. One thing I have always ignored however, is my website. I have never really put much thought into it, and never gave it much design. This is now changing. 2020 has been a very trying year for everyone. It has also opened new doors of possibility and new experiences. Now I am taking you along on this adventure as I travel through the country, providing the best photography and videography services available wherever it is needed. With a long list of prior satisfied clients and a growing base of returning clients, we have room for you. Stay tuned to this blog as I bring you along on these new adventures, and hopefully I get the chance to provide you with photo or video services no matter what the need!
